He treated the team to a mesmerizing seven-course dinner in a castle. The plates, glasses, and cutlery changed with each course, presenting a culinary masterpiece. Mr. Desai's words, "If you don't experience luxury, how will you ever design one?" resonated deeply. A visionary who believed in design, his wisdom guided me a decade later when crafting the Heritage Collection. Europe's dominance in luxury exports over the past 500 years stems from a combination of historical, cultural, and economic factors.

The Renaissance period marked a resurgence of arts and craftsmanship, leading to a culture that valued opulence. European monarchies patronized luxury goods, fostering a tradition of skilled artisans and craftsmanship. Industrialization further fueled production capabilities and global exploration expanded markets.
